One packet should be taken every morning, afternoon, and evening. Each has a slightly different list of ingredients. Each flavor (4) also has a slightly different formula. They all contain glucomannan and a variety of vitamins and minerals. We will be covering the ingredients that are in every packet (or almost every packet). It is a proprietary blend, so the exact amounts aren’t given. Fortunately, some of the vitamins and minerals have the NRV (Nutrient Reference Values) listed.

Glucomannan:

Boombod claims to contain no laxatives, which is ironic because the website goes on to brag about how they use Glucomannan in their formula. It is a dietary fiber that comes from the Konjac plant root. People often use it on its own for its laxative abilities. This ingredient absorbs water and turns it into a gel-like substance, making you feel full. This property helps to suppress your appetite.

Fun Fact: glucomannan can absorb up to 50 times its own weight, which is why this product needs to be drunk as soon as it is stirred into the water.

Magnesium Citrate: about 15% NRV

Like the previous ingredient, this one can also provide a laxative effect. Magnesium citrate is a naturally occurring mineral, needed for many systems. It is especially important to muscles, nerves, and the intestines. Muscles use this mineral to help them contract and relax. It works with the nervous system to regulate neurotransmitters. Water is increased in the intestines with the help of this ingredient, assisting to resolve any blockage or constipation issues.

Sweetener: (Sucralose, Acesulfame-K, or Stevia)

Because Boombod is consumed as a beverage, the flavor is important. Each packet contains 1 or 2 sweeteners: Sucralose, Acesulfame-K, or Stevia.

• Sucralose: Also known as Splenda, this general-purpose sweetener is made from sugar. It has been found to be a safe product.
• Acesulfame-K: This sweetener is man-made. It can be found in light juices and sugar-free gum. There are at least 90 studies showing its safety.
• Stevia: This is the most well known of the 3. It comes from a plant in southern american and can be found in soda and sport drinks. It is generally recognized as a safe product.

Vitamin C: 15% NRV

While it wasn’t found in every packet, Vitamin C was found in 9 out of the 12 total packet options. It is a water soluble vitamin that supports your immune system and provides antioxidants. Having an adequate amount of Vitamin C in your body can help you oxidize fat better during your workout.

Zinc: at least 15% NRV

This is an essential mineral found throughout your body. It supports your normal carbohydrate metabolism and immune system. It can also help act as an appetite supressor, which is great when you’re trying to get rid of those extra pesky pounds.

Riboflavin (Vitamin B2): at least 15% NRV

Riboflavin, also known as Vitamin B2, is a water soluble vitamin. It helps your body to break down the nutrients found in foods that you eat. This vitamin is necessary for proper maintenance of the body.
